2. Eden Lake

This 2008 British film may not have had much of a budget but it doesn’t matter. It manages to capture just as much terror as any major Hollywood film.

Starring Kelly Reilly and Michael Fassbender, Eden Lake tells the story of two lovers on a romantic weekend away by the lake. Unfortunately for them, a group of youths have set their sights on terrorising the couple and pushing them to their limits.
