This classic season one episode is undoubtedly one of the best. The gang – minus Chandler, who is trapped in an ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre by the way – are stuck in Monica’s apartment during a massive blackout in New York City.

It’s the first time we meet Rachel’s soon-to-be Italian lover Paolo (much to Ross’s detest), and who can forget Phoebe’s blackout song?
